This was my first time recording at this venue, the capacity of this place is only 600. I was thankful I was able to score a pair of tickets to this show, I remember the tickets sold out fast. This was the 2nd time that I had seen Highly Suspect, the first being at Summerfest in Milwaukee earlier in the year. That show was an outside show before the sun went down so it had a different vibe/feeling than this headline show. Of course, this show had more of a party vibe as one can imagine since it wasn't outside during the day. Hehe. I remember having a really good time at this show along with everyone else that attended from what I observed. I recorded this against an elevated GA barrier, everyone in front of me was about 3 feet lower so I had a clear view of the stage with nothing in front of me or my mics except the stage. The sound was really good at the venue. I think my recording reflects how good the sound was, I didn't have to deal with too many annoying screamers close to me since I was elevated but you can still hear them from time to time, but they don't take away from the recording too much Imo.
