::: Most excellent warm crisp soundboard. Check samples to squelch & qualm unfounded fears or induce minor joyful spasms of anticipation.
::: Warts: Some quick jumped in starts. Instrument mix a bit imbalanced, sometimes guitar low but not bad!
::: Taper shut off deck between many songs & most dialog not taped. Conservation - must of had only one reel along!
::: This is the corrected date information.

Recording Information ::: mono soundboard -> unknown stereo recording equipment -> master 2 channel mono reel-to-reel tape -> 1st generation Maxell XLII-S 90 cassette, Dolby B on.

Playback 2012-xx-xx ::: 1st generation Maxell XLII-S 90 cassette on Nakamichi BX-300 cassette deck, Dolby B on, azimuth & pitch adjusted, heads cleaned & demagnatized -> Tascam CD-RW900SL pro CD recorder -> CD-RW -> computer, EAC secure -> wavs -> Audacity (fades &/or glitches, dropouts, volume adjustments, no EQ) -> CD Wave (track splits) -> Trader's Little Helper -> yer ears. First uploaded week of 2012-02-23. NOTES: I repaired many, many volume fluctuations. The soundboard must have been mono with two channels out, or split into a two channel tape deck. I got near the end of almost 2 solid days of listening & after all my work decided to just use the left channel in mono (as it seems to have less issues than the right). For one thing it seems to get rid of a bit of sibelance in the vocals & mainly it lost a wavering problem which, even though I had lined up the channels to adjust for the original azimuth imbalance & patched every dropout I could hear, was still present. Now it's completely gone. While you not longer have a choice for patches if I missed any dropouts, this thing is now VERY solid & very nice quality!

Line-up (unconfirmed) ::: Robert Hunter - guitar, vocals // Kevin Morgenstern - lead guitar // Rodney Albin - violin, mandolin, (trumpet on "Only You"? banjo on part of "Alligator Moon Suite"? - someone plays them...) // Ozzie Allers - keyboards // Larry Klein - six string bass // Pat Lorenzano - drums // Marlene Molle - vocals // Kathleen Klein - vocals. (Sharon McNeese is not on vocals to my knowledge).

Nothing here ever commercially released to my knowledge. If I'm wrong, please advise & I'll take the offending trax offline.

CoolSonics 119 ::: Thanks to the original taper & trader! ::: Corrections welcome ::: Another one for Barker! An oft enjoyed, excellently played Comfort performance. There are some songs so perfect it's astounding & played by so many fine musicians. Larry Klein shines as usual & there are super multi-part harmonies. If you love this stuff, you'll get chills up yer spine & a warm glow of satisfaction. I always found it one of the great mysteries this guy wasn't huge, even though his songwriting was. A killer setlist to boot. To think there was a time we would have killed to have a perfect soundboard of the the "Alligator Moon Suite", now thanks to Jerry Moore & others, we get to pick which one to "pull off the shelf" (if you still do shelves).

More recordings on the way, making up for years of slow netspeed. Kudos to Zongo for life support, Lochner for mikes & much more, & to Fast Freddie for runnin' Video Dick's Record Emporium with the bathroom office full of tape decks. Thanks to Hanwaker (few among us can keep his pace) for over 30 years of trading & friendship. Mountains of gratitude to Davmar, D.White, Sanchez, Elliot, The Florida Kid, Kloiber, Zingg, JTW, Bershaw, Boston Gold, Weeks, Dixon, Moore, Gough & SO many more for all that collecting & sharing... Royal thanks to The Man In The Palace, Doc Tinker, Brinkhoffs, Barely Eatin', Reel Master Gaule, Parrish & all the traders who housed me thru my music acquisition & travel years. Hats off to Brother Kent, Uncle Jake, Little Queenie (& her neighbor Frank) & his honor Ptomaine Thomas. Glasses raised to Byron for musical horizon expansion & much obliged to J & Thurston for keepin' my concert fires burnin' since my continental shift. Thanks to the Mods for keepin' DIME alive. Enjoy, share, give, spread peace. Yers truly, Knees

Support the artist! But if you are looking at this, you probably already have & do!
