The analogue i/o from PCM to DAT is necessary because one of the data streams on the PCM tape is corrupted. It was burned from the PCM processor to a video tape and the VCR put a little image of a digital clock onto the tape. That is why most of the Betty Board tapes that derive from a PCM source have this alanog i/o layer. Note that this is only an analog i/o from PCM to DAT, *not* an analog generation.

05/23/2006 Cool Breeze Why are there two MD5 files for this source? The version I have matches the alt MD5 file, and I was wondering what the significance of that is. Thanks in advance.
05/24/2006 Matt Vernon Cool Breeze - I think I remember. At the time this first started to circulate as a shn set, there either were sbe errors that were fixed OR there were simultaneously several circulating shn sets with the same info file most likely from different eac conversions from audio cds if I had to guess. We looked around for someone who had md5's that matched the original (contacted all who were linked ot it) but were unable to locate anyone that had ones that matched. At that time, the alt-md5 was added to this source. As far as we know, that is most likely the most common circulating shn set that matches this info file.
05/26/2006 Cool Breeze Thanks for the info. I was just curious.
