was replaced with 0:00.895 seconds of Alligator from the 2-Track
SBDMR>R>R>PCM>DAT>CD where the Multi-Track Master Reel slowed down
and ran out.
The above splices from the alternative 2-Track sources were edited
and patched by myself using Cool Edit 2000 FFT filters, Normalize/Amplification
and Time/Pitch functions.
A replicated section of crowd noise after King Bee was removed by me and a
repeating error at the end of Dark Star was fixed by Jack Warner.
I also re-tracked most of the show after completing the above edits.
Dark Star splice at approximately 18:00 (drops off at 17:58 on the initial
unpatched disc 2) from 2-Track DAT source supplied by Rob Bertrando:
SBDMR>DAT>CD and was done by Aoxoa and C. Miller

04/17/2001 Konstantin d2t6 'Dark Star' has what sounds like a repeated section;
~17:51,705 to ~17:56,546 right before the patch is repeated in the patch
04/25/2001 Richard There is a version from the 16 MR's does have that does have the repeating section in Dark Star. This one does not. I have heard both versions. In fact, the text file for this version says "A replicated section of crowd noise after King Bee was removed by me and a repeating error at the end of Dark Star was fixed by Jack Warner. "
12/18/2004 Shawn Why is "William Tell" listed as a track ? Is this just someone who doesn't know the Eleven or was it a seperate jam/lyrics ?
12/18/2004 Lewis/Klitschko Well, "Peggy-O" is often listed as "Fennario," or was referred to as such by the band, there is some question as to whether it's "Ramble On Rose" or "Ramblin' Rose," to this day some people feel Jerry sings "some motherfucker's crime" instead of "some other," my suggestion is don't get too hung up over titles and words.
12/18/2004 jb My guess is because it is not really part of either St Stephen or The Eleven. Listen to versions of either song without the other one. It's not there in either case. In this case, I guess the seeder decided to make it its own track instead of sticking it randomly with one of the other songs. No biggie, as far as I'm concerned.
12/18/2004 Jim Van Houten I believe Hunter has the lyrics for the WT Bridge as part of Saint Stephen in his lyric book. Straight from the horse's mouth so to speak....
12/19/2004 Seth Kaplan That is correct jb. To my knowledge, it is only used as a separate bridge when St. Stephen leads into The Eleven. This makes it a separate track as it doesn't exist in any other circumstances.
12/19/2004 Seth Kaplan "d2t6 'Dark Star' has what sounds like a repeated section;
~17:51,705 to ~17:56,546 right before the patch is repeated in the patch"

That is correct. The repeating section was never removed.
12/19/2004 jb Seth,

Technically, I think I would consider it part of St Stephen and I would attach it to St Stephen if I were tracking an old show like this one. As someone pointed out, it is part of St Stephen in Hunter's lyric book, and it is listed as a part of St Stephen in the lyrics in the liner notes of Live Dead. Therefore, I personally would consider it part of St Stephen, even if the Dead only chose to play it when St Stephen segued into The Eleven. Additionally, both St Stephen and the bridge are played in 4/4 time. The Eleven is called The Eleven because it is in 11/12 time. If I were tracking old shows, I would always start The Eleven where the time signature changes.

Like I said, though, no biggie. This is a situation where there could be several differing opinions that are all not necessarily wrong.
01/05/2005 doug morrison If we want to get technical about song titles. That's It For The Other One is incorrectly titled. That's It For The Other One is a suite which on this tape is Cryptical Envelopment>Drums>The Other One>Cryptical Envelopment. But who cares about song titles listed, when you make your own cd labels put down what you want. I believe William Tell should be tracked as St. Stephen but oh well, on cd label put St. Stephen(William Tell). Thanks for the tunes this show cooks!!!
01/06/2005 jb Even "The Other One" is not the correct title of Bob's part of the That's It For The Other One suite. Standard convention among Deadheads is to lable TIFTOO as Cryptical>Drume>Other One>Cryptical, but Bob's part (typically labelled The Other One and always called The Other One when played separately) really has some crazy 60s acid-inspired name like Quadlibet For Tenderfeet or something.
01/08/2005 sport i thought i once read somehere that the Eleven's name had something to do with the geography around San Fran.Eleven hills or something like that.
01/09/2005 Jim Van Houten The Eleven, and the Seven Jam, I thought were all in reference to time signatures??
