The Story of This Soundboard:
This SBD comes from Vince Perrotti who gave it to Peter Hedeman with following notes:  "This was my 18th birthday and a friend of mine was allowed to patch in. He gave me the boards on the 18th. It was a great show, especially for those of us who made the trip up on 11.25.78 when Jerry fell ill."  Vince also mentioned that "I noticed as time went by that no one had these boards.  I know January '79 boards are rare and I caught 8 shows that month and they were all smoking."  So, thanks, Vince!

Thanks again to Vinnie & Sue for sending me this tape to do a new transfer (compare this release to gd79-01-17.perrotti.goldey.77208.sbeok.flac16), and more importantly for being patient until this finally got released :)

Notes:
The marred sections of Shakedown were some kind of failure in the SBD, there was a large section of clipped distortion. I just faded those sections to silence, but left the real time gap in. Thus, this tape has the "real time" amount of gap -- leaving the original SBD transfer as is. This makes it possible for someone in the future to have an "original" transfer. The matrix release was intended to listen for patches. There are two sections in Shakedown and one at the end jam in "Eyes". The tapes cuts out before the end of "Black Peter"
