02/25/2002 | Jack | I just got my copy of 9-17-82 SBD to find I was a victim of false advertising. This show is not a soundboard it is an obvious audience recording. It's a relatively good audience but, soundboards from this run feature clear well mixed tape with little or no crowd noise ie. 9-18 & 9-21. This recording is slightly muffled and and riddled with crowd noise. It really stinks when you get all pumped up after doing a B & P to hear a crispy sbd and get only an audience. Jack
02/25/2002 | Paul Bottiglio | I agree, this is definitely an Aud recording, not a SBD. It is however a different source than the aud recording posted at: http://db.etree.org/shninfo_detail.php?shnid=335
07/25/2002 | roger van gorden | this show was the hottest phil show of all the early years of the 80's. Phil was relly loud and pumped up at the show. He sang a chorus of "Ashes, Ashes, all fall down" when he grabbed bob's mike stand, and he stood near the front of the stage front center and conducted, with his arms in air while the dead rocked the other one, with double intro, phil did a slow bass solo of the intro. first. Brent had no mike and didn't sing at all that night. hot morning dew and one of the most pounding sugar mags that would stop. then bob said befor the encore, thanks for being there all those years>us blues and it was on to boston. saw phil back stage on Portland,Me and Boston sucking face with a woman back stage and she became Jill Lesh,?.

This is an SBD/AUD Matrix. It was the only matrix from that era, to the best of my knowledge. I have had it on cassette since 2 days after the show. It's easy to tell by listening to the vocals. This is a Matrix!!! cm |
