Matt Vernon	SHN	3		Had a few glasses of port, put on the phones and gave this a nice listen. set 1 standard 72 fare. set 2 starts with "He's Gone" and I have to admit I'm a sucker for these 72 versions, with the slow pace where Jerry concentrates on the sounds he makes and Weir/Billy create a nice background rhythm. Segue into Truckin' a bit quick. Truckin' has that 72 jammin style which I quite enjoy. The Dark star sequence features Crosby as a guest and that was what attracted me to this show. This version is quite good, whith a "tinkly" starting jam with lots of jazzy noodling before the 1st verse. After the verse, it gets dissonant, then becomes nicely quiet but still a lot going on, just the volume is lower by choice. They exit DS into JACK STRAW of all things (better than El Paso IMO) before Sing Me Back Home brings everyone in for a nice landing. It took me a few listens to appreciate what's going on in disk 3 of this on but it was worth it.
